What is neurofeedback? What is brain map (QEEG)? X

Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback is a specific form of biofeedback that monitors, quantifies, and trains an individual's brain waves to help their brain function more efficiently. In a neurofeedback appointment, areas of the brain that were identified as overactive or deficient in a QEEG are stimulated using electrodes in order to normalize brain wave activity.

Brain Map

We use an electroencephalograph (EEG) to measure the strengths and weaknesses of the brain. The QEEG allows us to find areas of the brain with deficient and/or overactive activity and create an individualized treatment plan.

What is TMS? X

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or TMS, is a non-medication treatment for individuals with depression, anxiety, and OCD. This treatment uses magnetic pulses to to targeted areas of the brain which help to alleviate symptoms. This non-invasive procedure is very brief, though intensive. Treatments are generally 4-5 days a week for up to 36 sessions.
