Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, of ACT, is a kind of clinical behavioral analysis that focuses on helping patients to accept facts or situations they may be overreacting to or avoiding. It uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies to help increase the patient’s psychological flexibility. Its focus isn’t the elimination of negative feelings, rather prompt the patient to move towards valuable behavior.
